About 16S rRNA Bacterial flora analysis
Next-generation sequencers are used to sequence regions of high genetic diversity in bacterial 16S rRNA genes to identify and estimate the proportion of bacterial flora. Negative controls are used to identify background bacteria of environmental origin and a report containing the correlation between samples and a negative control, is included. In addition, contamination by environmentally-derived bacteria brought in from reagents is minimized, so even samples with low amounts of bacteria can be analyzed.
・Analysis from a single sample is possible at our laboratory in Japan.
・Analysis of low-biomass samples with small amounts of bacteria is possible using a special method developed by us.
・Bacteria are identified using the world standard Silva database and the germline databases.
・Analysis down to the species level is possible.
・Well-versed with various clinical specimens including vaginal, uterine tissue, breast milk, saliva, and oral cavity tissues.
・May be able to perform testing on non-fresh samples (FFPE sections, Gram stain slides, etc.)
・Statistical analysis for papers and conferences is also available (consultation required, additional cost)

Ordering and Sample Shipping
After you confirm the details of your analysis request, please place an order and ship the specimen to our laboratory.
If there is a problem with the quality of the DNA, we may contact you.
DNA sequencing is performed using a next-generation sequencer.
Bioinformatics tools will be used to identify and estimate the proportion of flora at the species level.
The analysis results will be delivered as a report (in principle, within 20 business days).
The fastq and OTU representative sequences obtained as intermediate files of the analysis can also be delivered upon request.
About the biopsy technique validation analysis
By amplifying the DNA of embryo biopsies and tubed specimens, we can objectively assess the success rate of embryo biopsies.
・Biopsy techniques can be confirmed using to-be discarded embryos or mouse embryos.
・Price is reasonable as a next generation sequencer is not used for genome analysis.
The person in charge will explain the flow of the analysis.

Please order a kit using the order form.
Please ship 5-10 cell biopsy samples that are frozen to our laboratory.
DNA extraction and confirmation
The entire genome of the specimen is amplified by PCR, and the presence or absence of DNA is confirmed by measuring the DNA concentration along with electrophoresis.
The analysis results are delivered as a report (in principle, within 20 business days).
